Reverend Thompson wasn't the only one in the church that was shocked when the bride sashayed up the aisle to meet her fiancé. Her haut couture bridal gown was a show stopper.
Usually, the big reveal moment was when the bride lifted her veil. But the big reveal started as she walked into the church.
The dress was a revelation. There was very little of the bride that wasn’t on show.
’Look what he’s getting and you’re not!’ the dress seemed to say.
But the Best Man proved it wrong the night before as he lived up to his status.

Indeed he would, Christopher. I always wondered why the Best Man was so called... but maybe the Groom was simply the bestest!

Not sure why it's called that but I believe traditionally the best man and the maid of honor were there in case either the groom or the bride backed out, then their second had to step up and marry them. You'd have a hard time finding friends to be in your wedding if that were still the case today.
