How to describe Fred? Well, Fred was a ‘liker’. He liked people; liked his family; liked to be liked. He liked his beer, liked his whisky and would like to talk more except he really liked eating. He ate like he’d never eat again, and with his mouth full to bursting, he didn’t like small talk.
As well as feeding his giant appetite, Fred liked to dabble in the occult. When he wasn’t downing spirits, he liked to contact them.
Fred liked to think he was a medium. NO WAY! Someone like Fred is surely an extra extra extra large!

Thank you for the laugh, Neville. I love the play on words ''When he wasn’t downing spirits, he liked to contact them,'' and '' extra, extra, extra large.'' That made my evening! 😊

Thanks Frenchie. I thought of it as we were driving back from Devon having been to see our oldest granddaughter in a fabulous school production of the musical ‘Grease’. Someone talked about a person apparently being a ‘medium’... and that got me thinking... so I had to stop somewhere on the long journey to type some notes on my phone... otherwise I might have forgotten the idea 🥴 (There might be other drabbles from the weekend😁....)

Very good, loved the ‘sting in the tail’ and the story was good enough to keep me reading.
