Surprise visitors
Christmas is coming and preparations are in progress for the family gathering. The nativity scene, beautifully crafted in hessian, handed down to us, has it’s place in the hallway to greet the guests; shepherds, sheep, proud parents, little baby. Fairy lights, like stars, complete the scene. That should get the Christmas spirit started.
The table will be set for 14. It’s a little early for it to be laid for Christmas Dinner, but table ornaments are in place. Santa’s sleigh, but no Santa, yet, reindeers lurking, and what’s this? It’s the Christmas hedgehogs!

Set for 14 because... 13 is unlucky or you'll really be 14 people? Wow, have a great time and I hope you have a dishwasher 🤣
And everyone I know loves hegdehogs. How couldn't we? under their prickly exterior, they are oh so cute🧡 .... Merry Xmas! -

Thanks Frenchie. Yes, we are expecting 14 including us (our three children, wives, husband plus one girl and one boy for each of them). Still working on the dishwasher though. It stopped working a week or so ago and right now I am trying to install a new one... with the threat that if it’s not done by Christmas, I will be doing all the washing up😱. But believe it or not, in this cold weather I positively like washing up... getting my hands into nice warm water! Merry Christmas to you too, Frenchie!

Frenchie... my wife has just read my comment (above) and she wants me to put the record straight regarding the dishwasher. Apparently I was ‘economical with the truth’ and the dishwasher stopped working not a few weeks ago but two and three quarter months ago. Well....I thought I could probably fix it.... but couldn’t... then I forgot about it and just enjoyed putting my hands in hot washing up water! (And I didn’t want the cost of replacing it☹️) Confession time over!
