Sofia already knew what she wanted to eat; she’d looked at the menu online. She would start with Spinach Soufflé, would skip the main course except for a side order of French fries and mayo and finish with a Mayfair Mess for dessert.
“I know what I’m having!” she announced decisively, “but take your time, Paolo, there’s absolutely no rush.”
“What are you having..?” he started, but she replied,
“Never mind that. Have what you like. Maybe you could murder a nice steak...?” That was rather naughty, but then Sofia was known for her naughtiness.
Paolo scowled but said nothing.

It'll be interesting to wait and see if one day Paolo snaps and murders Sofia instead of a steak!

Maybe 🤔 (but she’s got something on him, and I don’t mean a crush either!)

My favourite at Langan’s was always their wonderful Spinach Soufflé as an hors d’oeuvre. It was the anchovy sauce that did it for me! Like Sofia, I could have missed out the main course completely, but the desserts were a great underscore for that starter! Can’t afford to go there now of course, back then the ad agency was picking up the tab. Yum-yum! What a wonderful business to have worked in... and actually been pretty well paid to do so!

I've mentioned here before that I've always been fascinated by advertising. I guess that's why I did a series here of fake sponsors. I get to invent the product and then write the copy for it!
