Paolo took a deep breath. Sofia hoped he was going to tell things he preferred to keep secret from her. Then he started with an extended “errr...’
“You can stop right there Paolo!” Sofia said abruptly, stopping him in his tracks with a mixture of shock and guilt showing on his face, or so Sofia felt. “I know you’re about to tell me a version of the truth that’s quite frankly not completely true...!”
“I haven’t told you anything yet, so how can you possibly say it won’t be true?” protested Paolo.
“I’m a woman. And you gave yourself away!”

No problem. I haven't had much time for drabbling lately. But I finished repainting the kitchen so hopefully I'll have a bit of free time now.

Thanks Verity. It might be difficult to comprehend without having read the other 800 drabbles first! A lot of water has gone under this particular story's bridge already. This is the autumn of this particular tale, although there’s plenty of action still to come. I just lost my mojo during the time (lockdowns) when I should have had plenty of time n my hands to squander!🥴
