Have yourself a mindful little Christmas
Let your heart be light
One day soon
These troubles will be out of sight.
Have yourself a mindful little Christmas
As in your homes you stay
Cautious when
The vaccine’s only weeks away.
Don’t behave as in olden days
Put a hold on days as before
Family and friends who are dear to us
Must steer clear of us, it’s the law.
In years to come we all will be together
If we stay safe now
Surely we can try to get through this somehow
So have yourself a mindful little Christmas now.

I wrote this for a friend who sends out a regular vidcast of himself strumming and singing songs. His seasonal offering seemed to strike an over-optimistic tone for these tricky times. So I offered to adapt that Michael Bublé favourite to be a little more appropriate. And this is it. Why not sing along? C’mon, you all know the tune! 🎼🎼🎼

Thanks Drew and Happy Christmas to you too. We’re having a bonzer time here, me and Corrine... and all the families on Zoom. We’ll all be singing my Christmas adaptation of Merry Christmas above later. (Hope it doesn’t break Zoom!!).
