Not the best of times... the worst of times. Christmas present time. Hard times!
Everything had arrived except one. With no updates on delivery times, it was about time it arrived. Time for action!
This missing gift would delight our granddaughter. If it arrived in time! But time waits for no woman.
Granny gave the suppliers a hard time. “Where’s my order?”
“What order?” came the reply.
WHAAAAT?.........
Then I helped, and was given a hard time, discovering she’d bollocked the wrong supplier...
The right supplier was also given a hard time.
Christmas time? Just gimme the mistletoe and wine!

Thanks Marion. I guess we bother because... it’s Christmas... even if the virus has its hands over its ears. I’m still singing, virus, and I’m sure that Marion will be too, even if she’s denied access to the church organ.

Thanks Drew. A true story no less, including my punishment for trying to help! Never let a good deed go unpunished! The Dickens reference had to be slimmed down to make the word count, but I’m glad it wasn’t lost nonetheless. 😊
