Waking today from a nightmare, she deliberately woke me. After all, we’d promised to share everything....

I’m a good listener. I listened.

In her dream we were not just moving house, but moving two houses simultaneously, neither being our current dwelling. We were babysitting two small grandchildren too.

The children were very good, but I wasn’t! After one of the windows fell out, I started doing something completely unrelated, rescuing a bit of metal from a skip.

Turning towards me, she promptly gave me a bollocking!

”Hey, it’s a dream... your dream! Leave me out of it!” was my defence.

Her explanation for the uncalled-for bollocking was that “it’s the sort of thing you would do!” (And I thought I would be innocent until proven guilty in the UK!)

It's astonishing how women can get mad at you for something you did in a dream. I've had that happen to me too!

I'm actually guilty of having felt real anger towards someone who upset me in a vivid and disturbing dream - thankfully I didn't express the anger before I questioned my feelings. I'd completely forgotten that until I read this.
