What am I?
You want me; you know you do.
Meet me and I’ll infect you
I’ll get inside you with no pain
And you’ll want to meet me once again.
And when I’m through, then you’ll go out
And start to spread me all about
‘Cos this infection’s quite ambitious
Benign and really not pernicious
I’ll change your outlook, change your view
Your attitude to all you do
Gusto, verve, outrageous zeal
Change completely how you feel
How others feel about you too
Marvelling at the change in you
Eager, keen and full of zest
On a roll and at your best!

Thanks Christopher. I wrote it because, if it isn’t obvious, I am an enthusiast. A couple of weeks ago my students gave me great feedback about that characteristic in their module evaluation sheets and how it was kind of infectious, but obviously what I wrote was a bit too obscure.
