Toujours c’est la meme chose

Today I witnessed a case of blatant tokenism. How strange that the day after I accused those BBC CBeebies producers of antiwottingism, that the tiny, lovely, yet hugely discriminated against, Wottinger family appears on our TV screen, dancing! But who can believe they’ve anything to dance about?

Think more deeply and you realise that it’s merely tokenism. They aren’t given a namecheck and their only appearance is very brief. They weren’t featured characters or a named family like the Pontipines. The Wottingers were NOT said ‘Goodnight’ to by name like their red neighbours.

Pah! Plus ca change, plus ca change!
