Sun, sea and Adnams Brewery
100 yards to the beach, 50 yards from the lighthouse and the Sole Bay Inn and a further 50 yards to nationally revered Adnams Brewery, what isn’t there to like about this holiday? This is our first holiday in Southwold... two thirds of our family are here with us. How joyful is that?
With such uncommonly hot weather, this morning’s dip in the normally icy North Sea was a delight... if it wasn’t for the dirty brown colour of the water, why it could have been anywhere in the Mediterranean. So why didn’t any of the others join me? Wimps!

Well we’ve certainly been doing that in the last week. The brewery trip enabled us to try about a dozen beers and the spirit tasting next day half a dozen of those. Yeeha!
