Grave consequences

The village Facebook site had never been so active. A big local story where people we'd never even heard of commented. It concerned the pretty village church, an online retailer and a grocery delivery woman determined to provide service of a lifetime.... and beyond.

In January, early deliveries arrive before dawn. Early yesterday, turning into Church Lane, she powered up, past the village green, round the bend and inadvertently up the gravel road to the church. The gravel stopped; the van didn't, turning onto the soggy graveyard. Dead halt. Stuck!

The noisy recovery tractor didn't wake those particular residents though.
