Yesterday was the day for taking Great-Granny back home. A journey of less than 2 hours. The preparation for the journey was something else though!
My original plan: a 10 o’clock start so we would be there and back before dusk. “Plans are useless”, Eisenhower once said, “but planning is indispensable.” Great-Granny dispensed with my plan at a stroke.... or rather a pace of progress that would make a sloth seem energetic. Three hours after scheduled departure, lunchtime, I asked Mrs H what her mum had been doing.
“Packing her case!”
”Really?”
“Really!”
We arrived home at 11pm!

Oh dear! Christmas is always hectic and tiring, isn't it? You almost have to go back to work just to get some rest and peace of mind!

It was. Actually, it was very easy to visualise the frustration :-D and fun!

I must admit, we did have a good laugh about it; it’s a cure for extreme irritation! 😠🤣
