There was a man called Le Petomane
Who lived in the town of Nice
He was the world-wide expert
In the art of gaseous release.
Many a show this man would do
As if it were a game
He'd place his seat a foot away
And blow out a candle flame.
He'd puff and blow all through the show
The box-office had to turn back hoards
His gallant performance has earned him a place
In the Guinness Book of Records.
(Actually he came from Marseille. I didn't know that in 1969. Anyway, it didn't rhyme with gaseous release.)

Just the thing to blow away some Christmas cobwebs 😏

Provided there are no naked flames around the Christmas pudding.

Might cause a terrible backdraft 😉

Thanks Drew. I remembered I had promised you to unearth my Petomane
poem. Being beaten into tidying my study, hey presto, I found it...and my ‘Gravediggers Lament’, which might need two drabbles.
