Our ad agency was a bit away from the West End. The 'usual' restaurant for entertaining clients was the Rossetti in St John's Wood. It wasn't unusual for several clients to be lunched there simultaneously.
My mate Chris was entertaining out of town clients. His Director was with them too. Time for Chris to pay the bill.
I was with my own clients at the next table. I watched, horrified, as the waiter tried to give Chris a wad of extra receipts under the nose of his boss. Chris shooed them away.
But the boss was a young executive once...!

Oh dear! Speaking of ad agencies, me of course always coming late to the party, I just started binge watching Mad Men, as I had not seen it when it was originally airing. Have you seen that show?

Great title of this drabble too (as usual).

Thanks Christopher. I haven't actually watched Mad Men (I'd lived it instead) although everyone says how great it is. Maybe I'll get the boxed set of DVDs.
Re the title...thanks very much. In many ways, thinking up the titles is one my favourite tasks.
