Working in cosmopolitania, you make some interesting friends... none more interesting than Armenians. Shahe was a seedy character... he specialised in seed capital... he gave me some.
"Put them on moist tissue on the kitchen windowsill" he urged. "They'll grow man!"
I did, they did.
Mrs H was delighted when all my mates visited and trooped down the garden to examine my crops. She had no idea what was growing there.
McB and I harvested it and I dried it in my cellar. After rollups failed to impress, we reverted to real ale.
Shortly afterwards, Shahe's business went to pot.

It was rubbish and my only experience of such stuff, but a few years later when we'd both moved house we noticed a report in the local paper about someone a few doors down the hill from our little terraced houses up in court for growing stuff. Always felt a little guilty that the wind might have blown and self-seeded... nah! that's just a pipe-dream...

🙄😉 These never fail to both make me smile, and groan internally. I know you can keep'em going, so I'm not going to encourage you 😉

Thanks for the lack of encouragement Jeff. I'll try to keep balancing the smile and groan quotients, even though I teeter on the groan side from time to time. :-)
