Hobbling between the garages, I kept out of the way of that cowardly loony. That Diana though, she was pretty nice.... gentle as she scooped me up... and the "shoo"... delivered as you would to a favourite nephew. In a different world, I could....... (wonder if she fancied a different pecker?)
I was far away from that bloody gamekeeper, so I reckoned I was in the clear. But a couple of years later, foraging behind the garages, helping myself to bird seed, I was one big fat cripple.
Philosophically speaking though, Nev did me a favour.... longer life!... murderous bastard!

This is a completely true story. My younger son was in the car with me... a kind-hearted lad, he was horrified.
Roast pheasant would have to be postponed!

I'll say it again, you've led quite a life, Neville! (Great drabbles)

Thanks Christopher. I have had an interesting time thus far, but I do often tend to see a story in the otherwise mundane. :-)
