New to the parish, he had interviewed well at the Parochial Parish Council meeting. They saw him as a shining light for the foreseeable future. But he had a dark unseen past.

In another parish, far away, the Reverend Harold Scott had been embraced by the local PCC... until he was cautioned by the police for some unsavoury online activities and urged by one of the council members, a senior policeman, to quietly move on, having been provided a good reference.
