Lane politics

The end of the season approaches. The pool will close soon... the remaining swimdays left down to single figures now...have I done enough?

Planning to swim my usual 44 lengths, testing but not too tough, I'd reached 36, swimming right next to the side of the pool... where I like to be.

The superkeen couple arrived. They only like to swim next to the pool sides, or else they get a bit arsey! They make it known they expect the two side lanes. He wanted my lane. Then, naturally, I wanted to do 100 lengths, so I did! Tough shit!
