Anniversary - right on time!
The first wasp arrives on our anniversary; it's a fact, based on years of experience. Everyone says it's rubbish, but we know better.
It depends on the weather, the temperature, if it's raining, if it was a hard or mild winter, the way the wind blows or where you are. That's what they tell us.
Pah! We have empirical evidence collected over many years.
It was put to the test this year when we stayed 100 miles away from home on our anniversary. Lunch on the terrace in Suffolk. Me, my wife, her mother, oh... and the first unwelcome wasp!
