Alone at night. Midnight struck. I went to turn out the light. Then it appeared. It was huge. Flying round and round. Was it a bat? Was it a bird? What was it?

The biggest moth I've ever seen, made bigger by the fact that I was looking up from a position of weakness, on my back, taken aback by the surprise appearance of the beast as I was planning to sleep.

Grabbing a book I struck out in vain, again and again. Finally, exhausted, both of us, it landed. I finally connected. Time 01.30. Nonetheless, I felt terribly guilty.

I don't feel guilty. My home is a "no-fly zone" and any rogue element that violates that policy is going to get shot down. War is hell.
