We'd arrived for an adventure on the river, onboard picnic and view of Henley Royal Regatta. Our wives produced a classy picnic. We boarded the Ryepeck, moored beside the Captain's castle.
"Ready to cast off, First Mate?"
"Aye-aye, Cap'n."
"Shit!... the batteries are flat as farts. Shit, shit, shit!" The Captain was distraught. "We're cruising nowhere!"
As First Mate, whilst my first responsibility was fixing the power, I was powerless! I took a philosophic perspective.
"It is what it is!"
"That it is!"
So we had our picnic there, aboard Ryepeck. With nothing to distract us from our wine.

Always best to make do with the situation as it presents itself and wine certainly helps on that count!
