Targeting
A large swimming pool... beautiful setting... the only family owned lido in the country. Today was my first swim of the year. Most days over summer, I swim, as I have for the past 35 years. Would my ailments limit my target lengths this summer?
32 lengths was my daily target; (30 lengths plus two extra to take account of the 'end effect'). Everyone knows my target.
Water temperature today, 80 Fahrenheit, apparently, whatever that is! (I'm a modern Centigrade man myself).
Chilly at first, then it felt good.
32 lengths? Pah! 40 lengths today, and that felt REALLY good.

Mind over body, hehehe... and I still can't translate Fahrenheit (Thanks God for the spell checker LOL) into Celsius. Nice one Neville.

Thanks, Frenchie. Me too on the Fahrenheit spellcheck need! I grew up with degrees F but wanted to move on to a more sensible decimal system.

Thank you Drew. However, today I surpassed even yesterday's effort. I reached my half-century. (I'm putting them in the bank for those days when I just can't be arsed.. :-) )
