I take my time. It doesn't do to hurry. Life's too short.

I respect my surroundings, watching the comings and goings of the more brash, energetic young ones throughout May. Take the haw, white, bright and showy, determined to shout out that summer's definitely on its way. But I hang back (well actually I hang down), I'm polite, because my aim is to be cordial.

It's not easy in a big family like mine, spending three weeks hanging around together. Even when we're picked, we stick together.

But if not, then come autumn, we're berried. Not a whimper, only wine.

Not sure if this works, but hey!
(You've guessed, I've been making elderflower cordial this week!) :-)

Thanks very much, Drew. I was making the cordial when I thought 'I wonder why it's called cordial?' I haven't found out yet, neither have I started drinking it! :-)

This had me going until the very end. I thought it was about your family. Really great, Neville.
