It was a tragic day when Chendor, mighty Emperor of Chandistan died. Wailing and weeping by his widow and 10 children.
Within 12 hours, Crown Prince Chendan, 15, oldest son, but not oldest child, summoned his beloved mother and siblings to the Throne Chamber. He sat holding the Royal Birch. One by one the family came to kneel before him. One by one he thrashed them mercilessly with the birch. The screams and wails moved him not.
Last was his favourite younger brother Chendu. Chendan drew his ceremonial sword and sliced off Chendu's head.
"Now I am ready to rule"
