Re Generation: I was there

I was there before. I was there before the vision. I was there before the transformation. I was there before the transformers. I was there with the transformers.

Sitting, brooding, humming, its tall chimney cast giant shadows over Old Father. Generation and transformation, I was there. Gargantuan beasts crowded the turbine hall. It was alive, live and overwhelming.

I wasn't even whelmed. I was on my mission. An internship with the CEGB. The beasts were a bonus.

How apt when human transformers replaced transformers. A transformation and new home for the output of 21st Century generators. But is it art?
