Harry liked his bedroom picture of sheep spread throughout a meadow, gently grazing. His new sheepdog Bess did not. She would growl and bark incessantly. The bedroom was out of bounds.

Naturally it was the one place Bess most wanted to go. One day Harry carelessly left the bedroom door slightly ajar. Alone, Bess crept in, crouched, growled, but didn't bark. Instead, she suddenly leapt at the picture on the wall. She missed the picture but slammed against the wall, dropping like a stone.

Above her, the sheep were now tightly together. But their leader couldn't hide a sheepish grin.

Thanks D.M. Your sheepdog 'handle' is what had inspired me, together with my wife's wonderful and rather stone age painting of a local field of sheep.
