Marty was far away from home. Very far away. A malfunction in his starfighter’s jump drive flung him to the edge of the spiral galaxy. Fortunately, he was able to pick up low band transmissions from a tiny blue planet orbiting a small yellow star. A place he now called home—at least until he could repair his ship’s engine.
It was an inhospitable place. Its denizens were primitive, violent, and destructive. But nothing he thought he couldn’t handle. After all, he was a soldier. Trained in the art of combat and survival.
This world’s inhabitants were nothing more than practice.
