The More Things Change

Mitch sat in his office pondering adages and days by-gone days.

"The more things change, the more they stay the same," he lamented to himself. True in most instances but not in this case. Things had changed so much, they were different.

There was a time he enjoyed going to work. Not so much now. And a lot of it was due to the inevitability of change.

Today was his last day on the job, but unlike so many of those he worked with, he was leaving on his own terms. He was resigning instead of being laid-off.
