Rosa had a bad feeling about this. Her house was festooned with bats, skeletons, pumpkins. She had candy ready for the little ones. But something wasn’t right.
The doorbell rang. Rosa peered through her spectacles. Surely those were costumes?! She smiled wanly but heard feral growls. She shut her eyes tight. When she opened them, she saw smiling children in clumsy costumes.
Dingdong. Surely those are beasts! She grabbed the baseball bat and frantically smashed. The corpses of creatures littered her doorstep. She shut her eyes. When they opened, she saw the bodies of children, lying in their own blood.
