Bob’s Beginning

Bob shook his hair out of his eyes, then swept it up into a small bun on the crown of his head.
‘Let’s see…’ he murmured to himself, focussing on the project on his work table. He held up a candle to throw some light on the surface. There seemed to be some kind of reptilian growth on it, just in patches.
‘Ew!’ he dropped the candle and a globule of wax splattered onto the sphere.

Ah – well, that seemed to have sorted it.

A while later, he checked it again. Small furry creatures were everywhere. Mammals, this time…
