When God Gambles

It’s bloodbath weekend.

Heaven and hell are gambling again.

The world becomes soaked in a cloudburst of carnage, crimson rain and bits of celestial flesh pelting people’s heads.

Severed angel limbs congest the roads… ditches swell with demon blood. People run for cover.

The crazy ones stand naked in the streets bathing in a shower of gore, arms outstretched welcoming their euphoric death.

A small blonde head smashes onto the earth and rolls towards her feet, its feathers burnt, its face a cherubic version of hers…

She screams as black talons descend from the scarlet sky to collect her soul.
