The lie

I told a lie today and I felt really bad about it although that feeling is wearing off so much that I fear that I might be emboldened by it. It was not a big lie in the scheme of things but it had to be told to solve a niggling problem.

Whenever I book a taxi for a hospital appointment the cab company insist on allowing 45 minutes for a 15 minute journey leaving time to hang around the waiting room.

Today I solved the problem. I told the cab company the wrong appointment time. Everyone’s happy but me.
