The Other Man
John’s cousin shocked the family when she left her husband, Bill, to live with another man, Ron, at the age of 65.
John had always been close to his cousin and was pleased she invited him to visit her in her new home. On the journey he began to worry that he would call Ron Bill.
He remembered The Crystals hit song Da Doo Ron Ron and kept singing it as he drove along but
he suddenly realised that the last line was:
Da Doo Ron Ron, Da Doo Ron Ron and his name was Bill.
