I’ve a bad time of it recently with two unexplained falls. I’ve been stoic and stayed in to convalesce.

On my first day out I met a neighbour who asked me how I was . By the time I’d finished telling him he trudged off. Later a pal phoned and I told him. The line went very quiet. I didn’t seem any better for my outpourings.

When a lady asked me next day I told her I was fine and well. She was so pleased she skipped off with a smile in her step and I felt my health restored.
