Lily and Walter go to a Reunion

The drinks flowed as Lily and Walter mingled and chatted with people they had not seen for years. Everyone looked the same except the couple in the corner. They stood out with their long straggly hair and scruffy clothes.

“You look well, Lily,” said the man when he came over. “I was saying to Iris, Walter looks younger than ever.”
“Oh George,” Lily said. “Gosh. It’s you.”

They’d been good pals before George went off to Australia. He was different now and Iris was his third wife. He’d found his soul mate and had come back home to settle down.
