Linzi wanted the expensive vase which reminded her of one her grandmother had had and was delighted when she saw that it was in the sale. She rushed to town next day but was held up. At the store tears came to her eyes when she saw that vase was no longer there.
On the journey home she remembered the happy times at her gran’s house with walls and shelves full of memorabilia. She had wanted her own piece.
Next day her friend called round carrying the vase she had bought for Linzi so no one else could grab it.

Wow. That's a great drabble and I see it's a true story too. Very cool.

A lovely story Brian, with what I like, a very happy ending! I had thought that she might have bought the vase and then realised it WAS her grandmother’s actual vase, by a chip maybe on the base that had been there years earlier. But your story, and as Christopher mentioned, a true story, is much better!
