Tolerance?

Down the hall, his classmates were singing the Ode to Islam, composed by the teacher, during Social Studies class, while Daniel sat waiting to be called into the Principal's office.
He could hear the phone conversation through the closed door.
"It's considered an act of intolerance, Mrs. Wilson," he proclaimed. "His reading that book, even to himself, offended the other students."
His classmates broke into the song's chorus of "...Allah’s on the way. They will preach them loud tonight..."
As the Principal ended the call, Daniel looked at the Bible in his lap, and resolved to leave it home tomorrow.
