The Blank Screen

I'm sitting at my desk, as I always do when writing, staring at the blank screen before me.
It's not 'writer's block' that's got me like this, that would be much simpler to handle.
An hour's passed since my glass ran empty.
When I got up to refill my drink, a pale, emaciated little boy, dressed in an old fashioned nightshirt, was standing in the doorway, staring at me with dark, empty eyes.
So, for the last hour, I've been staring at my monitor, feeling him staring at me, knowing he's still there.
Damn, I think I have to pee.
