I'd been out of work for months; lost my home, car, and my wife.
Homeless, and hungry, I'd seen this barber working on the corner.
Though it turned my stomach, I decided to rob him.
Customers lined up around the block everyday!
He must've made a ton; each customer hugged him once he'd finished.
He was closing up; I approached, telling him my intentions.
Silently, he handed his bag over.
Opening it, I saw a sign inside that read:
Haircut and shave, cost: one hug
I broke down, weeping.
"You look like you could use a shave," he said, smiling.

This was Drabble of the Day today 9 July 2020. As a relative newbie, I hadn't seen it before as it pre-dated me. I think it's terrific Jason... very heartwarming in these troubled times. I'm so glad I checked out the D of the D.
