Alive

From the distance, I saw you in your white suit spotted with red, wearing that crooked smile I fell in love with.

"Nice to see you again," you said, approaching.

"I never thought I would again," I replied.

"Well this time, you're coming with me." You intertwined our arms together, making my flowerless corsage of red hurt.

We started walking down the dark aisle. "But what about her?" We stopped.

"What about her?"

"Nothing."

"Nice necklace by the way," you told me as we continued.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"That rope really complements your dress," you said, smirking.

I feel alive.
