There was sun and fun all over the place.
Swings , carousels, soothsayers, ... everything.
Thorben strolled to and fro, checking all the interesting offers.
Finally he turned to leave.
There, in the shadow of a tree, sat a woman, face hidden behind a veil.
"Are you offering anything?", he asked
"Everything you need."
"Is that so?"
"No jeopardy in trying, is there?"
"Well, no."
She handed him a small envelope.
"Open it, whenever you need help!"
"Thanks."
Curiosity made him open the envelope.
Just blank paper!
He dumped it disappointedly.
One single word appeared on the dropped paper:
"patience"

I think patience is something we all could use more of these days. A very Twilight Zone-ish drabble. Well done, Iarwain.

Thanks.
Who knows, what Thorben might have got, had he kept the envelope.
And you are right. Patience is a virtue - or _would be_ ;o)

Pause to ponder. ('Like giving the envelope to all of us!) Thank you.

I would, but
1. I am not female
2. I got no veil ;o)

symbolically of course, as the writer, not as the character (as mystic as she is)

Thanks.
I am glad that this one seems to be less "deep" than the other one.
Maybe I am too philosophical, sometimes (may be a matter of definition).
