Honour and Adore

"I will honour and adore you," she said, fighting back the tears. She held him tight, staring into his eyes.

"In sickness and in health..."

His face was bright red now, eyes bulging as she tightened her grip. His mouth was stuffed with the documents she'd found, secret service instructions that showed their life together had been a lie, his vows to her empty.

"In darkness and in light..."

He struggled frantically, groaning through bloodied lips. She squeezed his throat hard, trying to control the shuddering tears that shook her own body.

"Till death... do us part." He went still.
