Early on I watched it, cold and lifeless. Yet it was only resting and sleeping. It could remember the last time it happened with surprising joy. Gradually it awakened, something stirred. There was feeling of expectation - of developing exhileration to come.
At first slowly, almost imperceptibly it showed signs of growth. There was a beauty about its gradual unfolding and expansion. A new birth, a fresh start, evolving, flourishing and in a short time exploding magnificently in all its true glory. Its hidden depths revealed and bursting forth in fresh, bright ,green, shiny leaves. This is my favourite Horse Chestnut tree.

Really nice, Marion. Wasn't sure where it was going until the end.
