The Tumor

She felt a twinge in her hands. A jolt of energy careened through her like a cold shockwave. Her body ached and throbbed as she could feel herself floating into the netherworld. Her body drifting aimlessly. She has no control, no recourse, no chance. So confused, so alone.
"What's happening to me?", she asks.
Suddenly, her head bursts. She thought a lightning bolt struck her head. She hit the ground, writhing in pain, clutching her head, trying to keep it from further expanding.
“The tumor!” she thought. “The goddamn thing just exploded!“
“So, this is what it's like to die.”
