The Funeral

Melvin was dreading the day of his father's funeral. Which came too soon. Everyone was upset. Except his mother, Laurie. Everyone deals with death differently, she must just have been in so much shock. The funeral just was like any other, sad and dark. The funeral ended and Melvin's mother was having a get together after with just a few close family members, which included Melvin's best friend, David. After a while Melvin had enough of the dreadful day, he decided to head upstairs. He heard David's whispers, "we finally got rid of him Laurie". David's jaw dropped in shock.
