Tony #17

by

*Epilogue*

Tony was found a few months later. Feet encased in cement and quite bloated. A submarine got lost somewhere in the Caspian Sea and bumped into his black Ferrari (which was a rental).

Alas, Tony was the mastermind behind the whole plot. He escaped to the continent in-extremis.

But he was never safe.

Not only Daddy is an oligarch but also well connected to, let's say, less savory members of the Russian public.

They found Tony and they conveyed my displeasure perfectly.

So, my Nan was right all along after all. Never trust rich, handsome guys called Tony.

Oh my, I feel a compulsion to apologise to every Tony (except that I do not know anyone called Tony LOL).

Ah! So he was a bounder after all! I’ve not had particularly good feelings about Tonys, which was why the arch-baddie in my drabble novel Fedeltà (which I must get round to finishing pretty soon) is Tony. An eighteen year old handsome, well off boy called Tony was my wife’s first real crush and he dumped her, silly boy! But a couple of months later I came along, so maybe he was not all bad😁!

Enjoyed this story Frenchie. Interesting how it grew like Topsy! More output please to help keep this here Drablr afloat 🤞

Just thought I’d mention a movie you might like, Frenchie, which is currently on BBC iPlayer. It’s French, with English subtitles if you need them 🤣, and it was on TV last Sunday, so it has about 24or 25 days to go before it disappears. It was first named Aurore, in France, but renamed I Got Life, probably because there was another Aurore made in 2005 which was/is completely different. It’s quite short (1hr 29 mins) and is billed as a comedy drama. We loved it and it had a really lovely ending you might like. Only scored 6.3 on IMDB, but we loved it. Really feel-good.

Oh Thanks, Neville. I will check that out. 😊 Hmmm.. English subtitles? do you know, sometimes it is very interesting to see how they translate.

Yes, it is! It was good for Mrs H’s French language tuition!

Wonderful, Frenchie. Very intriguing. Sorry I didn't comment on each one but I've been away for quite a while and I have a lot of reading to do!

I devoured all 17 like I'd broken a diet. Will henceforth avoid Tony's on my dating website.

Apologies for late answers. Thank you for the smiles. Rachel, please don't. I am sure there are good guys there (just avoid the ones with black Ferraris.)
