The Little Alien and the Human

I'm a little alien who got lost, until I found him.
More resplendent than a thousand suns, he was a king walking the earth.
I attached myself to his steps. I followed wherever he went. I stayed in his shadow, helping when I could. Not that he needed my help but we, little aliens are very loyal and helpful.
I think he grew fond of me, like you do of an over eager puppy.
Eventually, my family found me. But I chose Earth. I couldn't be a queen in my realm if I lost the radiance of my human master.
