Mary was a happy woman. She didn't care for much, but to her nothing mattered more than looking after her family. So she was very content as she prepared the lunch one sunny summer afternoon.
'Nearly done!' she called to her family in the dining room. 'I'm sure you're all hungry!'
No response. How very rude they were becoming! She really had to do something about that.
She tottered out of the kitchen and placed the plate of sandwiches on the dining table.
'Isn't this lovely?' she asked cheerfully, helping herself.
The corpses positioned around the table did not reply.

She must have really taken her time in the kitchen. I’m sure they were quality sandwiches and worth waiting for, but really Mary, anticipation is a good thing, but starvation is quite another!

An excellent point, Neville. I'kl be sure to pass that on to her :)

I was about to say she sounded like my mother until it got to the end!
