Then I asked them to sing for me and this time let me join in.
Apart from waiting the time for the equipment to cool down and for condensation to do its evil worst, my Boss, Fred, who had brought me down in his Jaguar XK150, would not be back from his meetings until 5:00 ‘earliest’, by which time it would be dark up there.
So we sang ‘Swing high, swing low’.

Wow! XK150 eh! ..... always been the car I wanted to own. Lucky you! As a penniless student, I had the opportunity to buy a second hand XK140 for seventy yes just seventy quid. Trouble was, the insurance for a wee student like me would also have been £70 per annum. So I bought the red Triumph TR2 that I loved. Thinks...might even swap my profile pic for a while for a photo of it in its glory
